Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it is with regret that the Officials have no alternative but to postpone this year’s Annual General Meeting.
Normally held in September this would have been the 39th AGM; it is hoped easing of restrictions will allow this to take place sometime in the early part of 2021.
In order that the role of the PPG may continue, the current elected Officials have agreed to continue until such time as they can seek re-election at the next AGM.
Regular quarterly meetings of the Officials are being successfully achieved via the Internet ‘Zoom’ facility together with discussions with Practice staff on any relevant matters.
Any information of interest to patients will be included on the Surgery’s website or by notice in local village newsletters.
The surgery Patient Participation Group, Communicare, was established in 1981 by Dr Holland and Mrs Clare Wagstaffe who saw the benefit of patient involvement within the Practice. Clare is still active in the group, currently as secretary, as well as being Secretary of the National Association of PPGs.
Our PPG is one of the oldest in the country and has just had with its 34th Annual General meeting.
The group has been continuously active during this time but is always looking for new members. If you would like to become more involved in helping us to further improve services for patients, please get in touch. The group is also active with our local commissioning group called Borderline LCG.
If you would like to join our Patient Participation Group mailing list, please complete our online form, or contact our Practice Manager on 01780 782342.
We regard all patients as informal members but if you join mailing list your will get regular updates of group and practice activities.
