If you have an urgent medical problem you can:
Telephone the Surgery
If you have an urgent problem during our opening hours which you think may need a same day appointment, call the surgery on 01780 782342, and speak to one of our Emergency Care Practitioners; they will help you to access the care you need as soon as possible and make sure that you see the right person, at the right time.
The Emergency Care Practitioner will be able to offer you advice over the phone or arrange a same day appointment, this could be with the Emergency Care Practitioner, the On Call Doctor or another Practitioner.
They can also arrange a home visit if you are housebound or terminally ill.

Use the Minor Illness and Injury Unit (MIIU)
The Peterborough MIIU can treat minor injuries and illnesses from strains and sprains, to broken bones, minor burns and bites. It is often unnecessary to make a trip to Accident and Emergency (A&E), when you can easily be treated here, with your local pharmacist or GP. The MIIU also aims to start patient treatment within 45 minutes.
Remember the surgery can also offer treatment for minor injuries so you always call us on 01780 782342 for immediate advice on where to seek help depending on your injury.
